A look back at the Sedona “Sweat Lodge” disaster. The gang looks at the controversy surrounding Rush Limbaugh’s interest in becoming part of an investment group hoping to purchase the St. Louis Rams.

Grant refers to Steve’s recent blog on the site regarding President Obama’s trip to Denmark to support Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympics and says that the President’s staff failed him by advising him to attend when it was so obviously a lost cause from the beginning field. Mark opens the show with the Question of the Week: Have you ever witnessed a situation in your office where an employee had sexual relations with his/her supervisor to advance his/her career? Would you do it if you were guaranteed there would be no negative consequences? This week’s Woody Award to the Hollywood supporters of Roman Polanksi for their support of a perverted criminal. Grant talks about a study that recently came out listing US cities with the smartest population; Phoenix ranked toward the bottom (49 out of 55), ahead of the Amish-filled Harrisburg (PA). Two Supreme Court cases are discussed by the goup: The first case involves a boy who breaks into elderly woman’s house, robs and rapes her, is convicted but was only 13 when he committed the crime; the second involves a 16 year old who was convicted for a similarly heinous crime. The gang talks about Obama’s 9/11 – that unemployment may hover between 9% and 11% throughout his presidency.

Grant shares an entertaining story about a flight to Israel and the reasons that kept him from taking a nap. Are there UFOs? Steve and Karie think so! Clawson has never been back to a high school reunion while Grant has been to three (and won't go to anymore).

With all of the trouble President Obama has had in recent weeks hosting Town Hall meetings, Grant recalls a trip he made to Lake Havasu City as Attorney General to hold a Town Hall that was crashed by a motorcycle gang. Mark shares a story about Redd Foxx, whose name came up as the gang discussed which celebrities would make good politicians.newsworthy.

Grant shares a couple of memories from appearances he made on 60 Minutes. Karie and the gang discuss the state of local newscasts and what is newsworthy.

Join former Arizona Attorney each week on his entertaining and informative talk show. John Hughes was an amazing filmmaker and responsible for influencing a generation. The crew talks about some of his work, including their all-time favorites. The WOODY Award stays in the sports' world this week, as YE Yang takes the world by surprise and Grant isn't buying it. Local 'storyteller' David Leibowitz, who recently opened his own PR/Marketing agency call Leibowitz Solo, shares his views on the upcoming gubernatorial race in Arizona. President Obama visits Phoenix, eats at Macayos and is struggling to find acceptance for his healthcare reform plan. Grant shares a story about having lunch with Angelina Jolie's dad, Jon Voight, while he was AG. The gang talks about Michael Vick's re-entry into society and the NFL.

Tom Zenner, John Kaizer and Steve Tsefos all call in to have a quick chat with Grant while sending their wishes along. Grant also spends some time with Krystina Alexander, director the Grant Woods Branch of Mesa's Boys and Girls Club. Krystina previews the busy summer for the club and the benefits of their summer camp program. Up next, Precious Wilson, who was recently named the Boys and Girls Club State Youth of the Year. Precious is a senior at Marcos De Niza High school and plans to attend Northwood University in Palm Beach, Florida when she graduates. With the big finals of American Idol up this week, Fox10 reporter Yetta Gibson, the Valley's expert voice on all things Idol, calls in to recap the competition heading into the finals while avoiding picking a winner. Yetta does preview some of the acts on tap, and Grant is thoroughly excited when he hears that the Black Eyed Peas are scheduled to perform. Other topics include a look at Obama's busy week of commencement speeches, including ASU's decision to hold back on the honorary degree and the protests from Catholics over his appearance at Notre Dame. The Woody Award, which also celebrates a birthday this week, went to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for apparently lying about knowing about the waterboarding techniques that happened post 9-11.

Grant seemingly could have handed out multiple Woody Awards this week as the crew ranted about several topics including: The Arizona Diamondbacks fledgling season and the firing of BoMel and the hiring of AJ Foyt (or is it Hinch); Manny's estrogen use; the Coyotes' bankruptcy and the role the team's performance has played in their demise; the decision to hold the Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp concert on August 17 at 5:30pm (when it's sure to be a cool 117degrees); Wanda Sykes performance at the White House Correspondent's Dinner; and Cordes' decision to reject an offer to emcee the pre-Obama graduation ceremony. But the lucky Woody winner this week was Congressman Jim Moran, who is busy at work for the taxpayer by proposing legislation that would restrict erectile dysfunction advertising to late night.

General Suthers, whose most recent book "No Higher Calling, No Greater Responsibility: A Prosecutor Makes His Case" is available at Amazon.com, covers topics such as the current state of the Republican Party in Colorado, whether or not his alma mater Notre Dame should have asked President Obama to speak and shares his views on the 10th anniversary of the Columbine tragedy. Grant also revisits President Obama's views toward Cuba and shares some highlights from a trip where he got to meet with Fidel Castro. The weekly Woody Award is presented to Jeffrey Phillips, from 'Arizona's Law Firm' Phillips & Associates, as they are investigated by the State Bar for ethical violations. And of course, it wouldn't be a show if Grant didn't share some highlights on the Arizona Diamondbacks' start to the season.

Clawson, a veteran of the Phoenix radio scene, shares his views on the Cardinals Super Bowl appearance as well as the current state of the Republican Party. Other topics included a recap of Grant's trip to Tampa Bay for the BIG GAME as well as some touching family stories after staying with his wife Marlene's family during the trip. The crew also talked FBR Open with Thunderbirds Dr. Shaun Parson and David Rauch. Parson, a local plastic and reconstructive surgeon, and Rauch, a partner at Snell & Wilmer Law Offices, recap this year's Open as well as reveal some of the changes on tap for 2010. Grant also puts his old attorney general hat back on as he looks at the current lawsuit against the U.S. Government and the passport agency which claims that citizens spending extra money for 'expedited' passport service not only didn't receive the expedited service, but weren't refunded their extra charges.
